BCC Industry Tours feature manufacturing in october
October is celebrated as Manufacturing Month. Bluff Country Collaborative (BCC) is featuring manufacturing companies for Industry Tours this month. Sno Pac Foods in Caledonia and Flex Craft in Houston were visited on October 4 by 16 students, a teacher, and the Youth Workforce Navigator. Careers explored include quality control, laborers, maintenance, technology, warehousing, marketing, agriculture, manufacturing, entry-level production, shipping & receiving, and sales.
Seeing careers in action help students weigh their interests and options for career planning.
Our next tour is October 26 to Harmony Enterprises and Harmony Kid Learning Center.
November will take us to Gundersen ICE to explore healthcare careers on November 15.
It is free to participate. Transportation is coordinated through the school district. Students can register online or by contacting MaryAnne Smith, Youth Workforce Navigator at BCCNavigators@gmail.com or 507-251-4388.
